The girls played well against a talented and very athletic Annapolis squad at the Old Mill field yesterday, resulting in a 2 – 2 tie at the end of regulation play. The two teams played a physical contest with Old Mill establishing a 2 – 0 advantage in the early play. Late in the second half the Panthers were able to move the ball in for two long shots that just passed the outstretched hands of keeper Abby Single. In the end it was clear that this was a battle between two well-matched foes with the result being a clear depiction of the game itself.
